Russian Academy of Sciences to open online courses platform Lectorium

On Jun 1 at 12:00 Moscow time, the Russian Academy of Sciences will open online courses platform Lectorium (https://lectorium.org/)

The aim of the platform is to organize the international academic mobility of scientific and scientific-pedagogical workers (virtual academic mobility) by creating public open online courses and broadcasting them on the Lectorium e-learning platform.

The courses will be interesting for foreign students, masters and scientists from the CIS countries, the European Union, Asia, Central and South America, who are interested in studying and participating in research and development, including in cooperation with Russian scientific organizations.

10 courses of various topics will be presented, including courses in philosophy, molecular biology, climate, cybersecurity, quantum mechanics and environmental monitoring.

The duration of training for each course is 4 weeks. All courses are free of charge and available to everyone who wants to study.

1.    Earth's climate and its current changes.
Course author Alexander Chernokulsky, candidate in physical and mathematical sciences (PhD), senior researcher in laboratory of Climate theory of the Obukhov institute of atmospheric physics, Russian Academy of Sciences.

2.    Laser-plasma sources of corpuscular and electromagnetic radiation.
Course author Stepan Andreev, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, Professor of Lomonosov Moscow State University, head of the department of the Moscow polytechnic university.

3.    Origins, concepts and questions of the philosophy of education.
Course authors Olga Kutyrkina, researcher of the concepts of education, communication specialist, Natalia Kazakova, candidate of political sciences.

4.    Studying of biological macromolecules: from cell to structure.
Course authors Dr. Sc. Ekaterina Nikonova, a senior scientist of the Institute of protein research, scientific secretary, leadership of grants from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, EMBO, FEBS and Austrian Ministry of Education and Culture and Innsbruck Medical University, Dr. Sc. Alexey Nikulin, a senior scientist of the Institute of Protein Research, head of laboratory of structural studies of the translation apparatus, leadership of grants from the Russian Science Foundation and the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, Dr.Sc. Oleg Nikonov, a senior scientist of the Institute of protein research.

5.    Research of photosynthesis: from the absorption of a light quantum to the crop.
Course author Daria Vetoshkina, PhD, researcher at the institute of basic biological problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

6.    Cybersecurity of infocommunications.
Course author Roman Meshcheryakov, PhD, full professor, professor of RAS, head of the cyber-physical systems laboratory, ICS RAS, IEEE senior member (information theory society, robotics & automation society).

7.    The mystery of blinking nanoparticles.
Course author Dr. Pavel Frantsuzov, head of the laboratory of theoretical chemistry, Voevodsky institute of chemical kinetics and combustion SB RAS named.

8.    Quantum-kinetic theory of photoluminescence.
Course author Maxim Gladush, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor of the department of nanooptics and spectroscopy of the Moscow institute of physics and technology, department of theoretical physics of the IPTIS MPGU.

9.    Quantum mechanics from the scratch.
