Dual-Purpose Scientific Projects – 2024
The Higher Education and Science Committee has launched the Call for Proposals for the Dual-Purpose Scientific Projects 2024 Grant Program, which is aimed at the implementation of dual-purpose scientific research and technical projects and the strengthening and development of capacities in the respective field.
The Program aims to:
- support the creation of new dual-purpose technologies and increase their capacity;
- promote the use of research in military production;
- develop cooperation between scientific and military-industrial organizations,
- involve young researchers and graduate students in dual-purpose scientific research.
The Program provides funding to support scientific and technical research projects in the listed fields carried out by scientific groups of 4-7 people for a period of 24 months. The applications shall be submitted by the Principal Investigator (PI) and selected on a competitive basis. The presented scientific project must be prospective and feasible, as well as be applicable for both civil and military purposes.
The Group Members cannot be included in more than one submitted application. At least two of the Members must be at least 3rd-year undergraduate students.
The financing of the selected projects will start in September 2024.
The application shall be submitted by the PI via the online system at grants.hesc.am until May 24, 2024, 18:00 (Yerevan time).
As for the paper-based applications, the documents are submitted to the Committee on weekdays, 09:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 18:00 (Orbeli Brothers 22, 8th floor, room 808) until May 31, 2024.
